The 30-Day Daily Count Challenge · free · for business brokers and M&A advisors

By July 1st you're going to wish you'd set up your systems in October.

Thirty mornings. One text each, at 7 AM: owners to reach today and one move. The fees you want to take home by July 1, walked back to what you do before lunch, with deal cycles that fit our business. Free, and it stays free.

Two minutes to set up. Reply STOP any morning. Planning math, not a promise.

How it works

Three steps, then your phone does the remembering.

1

Type your goal

The fees you want to take home by July 1, and what you take home on one closing. Nothing is suggested; the figures are yours.

2

Get your daily count

Closings, engagements, real owner conversations a week, and owners to reach today, split across calls, email, LinkedIn and the rest. It uses a business-sale cycle and the sign-by date it implies, tells you the hours it takes, and says so plainly if the goal doesn't fit a working week.

3

Thirty mornings

One text at 7 AM with today's count and one move: a script line, a two-minute action, a close. Fridays, you post your count in the business-broker group with everyone else doing the challenge. That post is the habit.

The 30 days

Four weeks, one thing each.

Week 1 · The habit

Every text is a call script or a two-minute action. Day 3: get a free digital card so every owner, CPA and attorney you meet lands in your phone and your pipeline.

Week 2 · The system, shown

What "systems in place" means: a site whose only job is getting an owner to raise a hand, your owner list scored, one morning screen that says who to call and why.

Week 3 · Hand it off

Your day divided: keep human (the owner meeting, the valuation conversation, the negotiation) and have it done (follow-up 2 through 12 to owners, buyer qualification, the Monday brief).

Week 4 · The decision

Four Friday counts in a row is a track record. Does the goal still fit? Change it, and the daily count moves with it. Then keep going without me.

"What do you want to take home by July 1? Most brokers can answer that. Then I ask how many owners they need to reach today, and the room goes quiet. That silence is the whole challenge." Questions

Before you start.

Is it really free?

Yes. The tracker is a free app and the 30 texts are free. There is a system I build for business brokers who want the owner site, the follow-up and the morning screen running for them; it's mentioned in week two and you can ignore it. Nothing is required to finish the challenge.

Who is it for?

Business brokers and M&A advisors, Main Street to lower middle market, solo or small firm, who have a fee goal and want a daily owner count behind it. First-year brokers are welcome; the count will be honest with you about what a long deal cycle means for July 1.

What do the texts say?

Your own figures, merged in: the owners to reach today, your conversations this week, your closings. Plus one move. Never a pitch in the first week, never a price without you asking for one. Reply STOP to end, HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

What happens after day 30?

The tracker stays on your phone and the daily count keeps working. Most people keep posting their Friday count in the Business Broker Launch & Scale Systems group with other brokers doing the same.

Is the math a guarantee?

No. It's planning math with your own numbers. Not everyone you reach talks back, and not every conversation becomes an appointment; the tracker uses conservative planning rates and tells you when a goal doesn't fit. More real conversations lead to more closings, and closings are the cash. Use it as a guide.

Thirty days from now you'll have thirty counts, or thirty excuses.

Type the goal, get today's count, and the first text arrives within a minute.
